A group of over 300 people gathered in Watson Park on July 12 for the “Don’t Look Away LFK: Immigrant and Refugee Solidarity Rally.” The rally was organized by a Lawrence group of Latino activists. State Representative Susan Ruiz attended the event. The Democrat from Shawnee told the people in attendance that the country needed more sanctuary cities.
